Maria Johnson began her automotive career in 1988 with a Firestone Independent Dealer in Smithfield. In 1990 she joined Bridgestone-Firestone and in 1995 took a position in management with a Firestone store in Raleigh, NC. Maria and Robbie opened Johnson’s Tire and Auto in October of 2006. After many years of dedicated time and service to the industry, Maria was able to step away and allow her daughter Olivia to manage the store. Although you may not see her in the store very often, she is involved in everyday business and operations at Johnson’s Tire and Auto. Robbie Johnson comes from a long line of automotive industry entrepreneurs. His father and grandfather co-owned Smithfield Auto Parts for nearly four decades and he grew up in the business. Robbie also owns and operates Johnson’s Lawn and Landscape.

Olivia is the daughter of Robbie and Maria Johnson. She started working for the family business in 2013. Olivia graduated from the University of Mount Olive with a bachelors degree in criminal justice. Although Olivia has her degree in criminal justice, she was drawn to the automotive industry and followed in her Mothers footsteps. When Olivia is not at work, you will most definitely find her doing what she loves most, hunting!

Brian Chavez has been with Johnson’s Tire and Auto for over 10 years. Brian is an A Technician and specializes in diagnostics and emission system problems. Outside of work, Brian loves to spend time with his kids and enjoys fishing.

Tony has been with us since 2025. He is a knowledgeable technician with a true passion for cars and takes pride in his work.

Brandon joined our team in 2025. He has a passion for working on cars and values spending time with his wife and kids.
